I think Peter David is one of the best comic book writers today.
What do YOU think?

I think he's a hack. I have never been happy with any of his work. But, what
he does is give young kids what they want, pointless fighs and stupid dialog.
You don't have to trust my word, try reading the four and a half page responce
(in tiny type) to one of Peter David's letters to Erik Larsen in Savage Dragon
#20. Plus, see the interveiw of Todd McFarlane in the Spawn Special from
Wizard. You should try to read one of these. I would reprint them, but Erik
Larsen was very thorogh to prove his point (and I think he did a good job)
and it's just too long. As for Todd, he did say that Peter was a good writter,
even though he disargeed with some of it, Todd did say that his problem with
Peter was personal (and if you saw what Peter did you would argee). Maybe if
somebody doesn't want to buy those, I'll e-mail it to them since it's too long
to print here.

You know biohazar we disagree on everything comic book related.
I really think you should get your Image-lovin' self your own opinion spot
in this conf so i wouldn't have to read it over and over. Nothing personal

I didn't realize all of Todd McFarlane's fight had a point to them and all
his dialog was just top notch. Face u like McFarlane. i like David.. er face

(is he really? in the Comic Shop News I picked up, it said that he was
leaving Aquaman [creative differences], but would stay on Supergirl
and the Hulk.)

i just received an Interview with Peter David on his current plans
and his reasons for leaving Aquaman and Hulk.. and what he would have
done with a few books had he stayed on.. (Spider-Man 2099, X-Factor..)

after 4 years on Aquaman and about 12 years (136 issues) on Hulk, he's off
both of them.. citing creative differences with the Powers That Be.

Read the last Hulk story that PAD wanted to write in October's
THE ULTIMATE HULK from Marvel Comics (of course)

Also: anyone wanting that interview, let me know.
