yeah, I've heard of Onslaught. It that cheap excuse to sell comics over at
Marvel. They need anything jsut to sell comics now in days (ie getting Images
guys to revive their comics for them (I guess that shows that Marvel thinks
Image is better at that)). It's one crossover after another over there.

I disagree. Marvel HAS had several less than good crossovers, but if the
writers are good they'll continue to get my cash. And i don't think Marvel
needs crossovers to get money...it just helps... I think that, for the most
part, Image comics SUCK!!!!

Okay, I'm not going to get offended with you saying Image sucks. That's you're
opinion. I however believe that Image did something that noone else could do.
"Image, by virtue of it's susscess showed that the creator are not as easily
replaced as the publishers once blieved" Marc Silvestri said.
They may have made a few mistakes when they started, but you got to realize
that they are creators not publishers. Plus, I have found that the books have
improved on the storyline since the first issues (i.e. Alan Moores run on
WildCATs is sooo much better then the first mini-series). The thing about
Image is that you don't have to buy every book to enjoy it. Furthermore, they
paved the way for many more creators for their own books. Weither it is
Legend, Bravura, Windstorm, Blac Noir, Dark Horse, Helix or whatever creator
owned company, Image made it better for creator rights.
What I am trying to say is that Marvel's sales ARE going down. One of the
things they improve on sales is making it so you have to read EVERYONE of the
books to know what's happening. In fact, that's what killed me on Marvel. I
used to be a real Marvel junky. It was Maximun Carnage that made my little
wallet have to make some desisions. Over all, I believe that creator owned
comics had better stories because they didn't have editor screwing around with
everything and is closer to the original conseption.
Inconclution (finally), I'm not saying that all comics at Marvel suck or
saying that all comics at Image rule (in fact, I think that everything that
Rob Liefield does isn't worth my money). It was the fact that Marvel uses
countless crossovers and the fact they need outside talent to sell their books
shows that Marvel is on a downward journey.

Image and Marvel both have their good books..
Image and Marvel both have their terrible books
When it comes to crossovers.. Marvel's are in larger proportion than Image's
because they have more books but i, personally, don't think u should have to
buy every one of them to follow the story.. that IS a very stupid way to sell
books.. however, i do buy issues containing my favorite characters if they're
in the crossover.. that list is small so i can usually not spend all my cash
I'm just saying that of the several dozen Image titles i've read.. I have not
been impressed..

Onslaught is over. Almost 30 heroes are gone. The humans blame the mutants.
Xavier is powerless. Magneto is 20 years younger and is rediscovering how evil
he was. Howard the Duck is back. Peter Parker is finally Spider-Man again.
That's Marvel.

Which heroes bit the big one pez? I don't care to read or collect comics but

the Hulk in the Marvel Universe with mutants is Banner-less
the Hulk in the other Marvel Universe.. i dunno.. haven't read it yet

Iron Man came out and the art is fantastic (Fantastic Four was pretty good
too). I haven't read the story yet because I was waiting for the store manager
to read it first so he can give me his opinion (Joe's taste is pretty good).
Whilce's art is always great so pick it up.
