does anyone else read Strangers In Paradise? Is it really moving

I have read SiP lately and I most say it is one of the best comics that has
ever come out. I got Vol.2 tpb (that's issues vol.2 1-9) first and I couldn't
put it down. I was up untill way past my bed time reading it. I then got the
Vol.1 tpb (the the collected of the mini) and it brought it to more levels.
I really love SiP. The same reason I love Bone, Friends of Maxx, and Madman.
It just isn't a story about two over stuffed guys pounding on each other, it's
real true live drama. Nothing but good stories. I thing that the superhero
genre has been written ten times over and doesn't hardly have anything
original. These stories really explore the media.

In November, Homage comics will become an imprint in Image. The creators will
still have full creative controll that they would before Image. See item 22
(Image News) for more info.

I just got Vol.3 of SiP. I really really loved it. One of the best stories
that kept me on the egde of my seat and asking for more. It's easy to see I
loved this. I exspecially loved the part where Kat and Francine were getting
close. But, I read the first issue at Homage after and was greatly
disapointed. In fact I would go far enough to say I hated it. First thing I'd
like to point out is that the whole superhero could be ripped out of the book
and it would be an improvement. Then the rest of story wasn't much beter. I
mean, after the dream Francine wake up to her child (ugh). It seems we have
gone ten years into the future where Katcho and Francine have broken up???
I don't like that! That means he nowhere to go with the story. I mean in the
past when Terry Moore talked about writting the story he said that he would
plot each issue but the characters changed. The story and the characters
dictacted the story which I really like. But I don't know what Terry was
thinking when he wrote this story... So in conclution, Stranger in Paradice
1-13 COOL!, Strangers in Paradice (Homage) BLA!

I agree with you about the superhero sequence. It seemed to be the way to
show everybody that Image now publishes SiP more than anything else.
I'm still willing to give Terry Moore the benefit of the doubt regaurding
the direction he's aking this comic.
I still hope that this is all a dream somehow....

I think it had more to do with Jim Lee trying to draw SiP and Terry gave him
a chance.

We're up to issue #3. It's gotten a lot better, but I still have that scene
from #1 in the back of my mind. They should have never done that first comic.

They shouldn't have done that superhero SiP story, but Image wanted to attract
their fans. What other way to attract superhero fans with some goofy dream
sequence by a "hot" Image artist. Of course, we're all waiting for everything
to fall apart after the flash forward. It's now just a matter of time and
will probably kill the series when we find out what happened to Francine and
Katchoo to make them break up. There'll be nothing left to tell at that
point.

Terry Moore wants to do other projects. He loves to do SiP, but he wants
more. Unfortunately, Lady Supreme sucks! I don't think Moore should work
with established characters after reading that. I do have higher hopes
for his upcoming story in Gen13 Fanzine though. He really should try to
do more original stories.

well i have read SiP for a while now. I have all three tpb editions. I liked
SiP in black and white better then in colour but that is amatter of prefence.
I
doing on thign fora while gets boring even for great writers and artists.
I just hope that this isa phase he is goign through and will pass in the next
couple of issues.

It's Gen13 Bootleg, not fanize which Terry will be doing a story (just to nit
pick). I'm all for letting him do different stories and all, but this story
line where he has Francine and Katcho break up is sick! What is he thinking?

Even the best of relationships can fall apart. Considering the extraordinary
events that have happened to them so far and their secret pasts which still
haven't been fully revealed to us or each other, it's not too inconceivable
that something would tear them apart. It still SUCKS that Terry would do
this though.

It's gotten to issue number #4 and the feeling of doom is slowly fading, but
still. I really liked this issue but where they ended it... ARG! I CAN'T WAIT
UNTIL NEXT MONTH!

I also want to know who the other woman with the tattoo is? Did I just miss
something there? That kind of scared me. I'm wondering if they're trying to
get to Katchoo through Francine now.

Because that would end the series and we have 10 years of story to fill.
It's called "padding."

It seems to me that Katchoo just doesn't want to blow her cover by not
touching the money. As soon as she attempts to move the cash from Switzerland
to the U.S. , that weill alert the mob to the fact that she has the money.
Or did she take care of that?

well, the mob could just follow them up to switzerland, possibly putting a
couple horses head on their pillows. The mob would be restricted by borders
really.
