The Matrix is so cool. Who thinks it is the coolest movie ever?
I do!

My favorite part was when they went into the building to get the girl and she
jumped up and froze in mid air and then kicked the guy in the head.

I really liked the plot. And the scene showing the infants hooked up to the
machine gave me the creeps. A really really cool movie.

I was at the local bookstore and I stumbled across a book written about the
philosophy behind the movie "The Matrix"; it was subtitled "Welcome to the
Desert of the Real". It looked interesting; I just found it astounding that
so many people could find enough material in this series to justify 50 or 60
term-paper style essays on the philosophical merits of the film.
It was fun. It was creative. It was visually titilating. But philosophical?
Hm. I'll have to settle down and think about that one for a moment.

The "brain in a vat" paradox has been around for a long time. 1960
version: How can you prove that you're not just a brain in a vat, and
that everything you think is real is being fed into your mind via
electronics by a mad scientist? You can't.

I think you didn't reflect enough about the
philosophy in Matrix.
Well, first you'd know what's "philosophy".

I am one of the few people who actually enjoyed all three Matrix movies.
They are one of those things that the more you watch them, the more you
understand. I'm betting they become cult classics in 10-20 years.

The first one didn't speak to me. Skipped the others.
