According to a report in the _Detroit Free Press_ (June 1, 1996), Ford is considering dropping the Thunderbird after the 1999 model year, meaning another long-standing nameplate is doomed to die. Your thoughts about the imminent end of another automotive era. | ||

Good Riddance. maybe. The Thunderbird has not been an exciting car since the 1957 model came out. | ||

on the other hand, ford may decide to revive it fifteen years later. look at the aberration general motors is now calling the impala, after several years of non-production. | ||
