Let's get some interest here! Mark Unseen   Mar 25 17:54 UTC 1995

Hey! What can we do to liven up this conference?
Is there any way we can open up the subject matter to get the interest
going so "car stuff" is flooding in faster than we can read it?
How about:
 - Car repair tips?
 - New car impressions by readers?
 - Repair shops to go to (and stay away from)
 - Car Trivia
 - Technical information
 - etc, etc, etc . . .

How about keeping rust at bay? What have others tried that works? (Besides
not driving it during the salt season?)

A guy at work who drove outstanding condition cars drilled holes in the door
inside panels, trunk reinforcements, and other blind panels and sprayed in
high grade motor oil thinned 50:50 in kerosene two times per year. His
cars were like new when they were 12 years old. Seemed to work ? ? ?

We've had ours ziebarted and have slight rust on an '87, no rust on two '89's
In fact I was recently under one 89 because of a muffler problem and I saw no
signs of body rust.

How about old cars? Is anybody interested in them out there? I'm into
Mustangs (64 1/2-73) and other Ford muscle cars. I just got an account here
and I'm just trying to help stir some interest up.

I am into old cars! I also am into mustangs, having had two really nice ones
(when they were new). I had a 67 red convertable 289 4V, Stick. WOW!
and I had a 70 351 auto.
I really like the cars from '47 to 64.
Do you own muscle cars?

Should we start a referral service to the few honest
and competent accordion mechanics in the country?

I was perversely proud of our '79 HOnda Civic wagon with 180,000
miles on it, and then it developed a myriad of increasingly difficult problems,
so we finally traded it in for $200 ( only 75 under blue book) and got an
Acura Integra. And now my soul is sold. It is a marvelous vehicle. And can
still accelerate at 105 mph...

None of your comments seem to be oriented towards getting interest
in the transportation conference.

I just thought I'd mention it.
humdog
response 22 of 43: Mark Unseen   Apr 3 09:39 UTC 1995

transportation does not interest us,
unless it is silver and Evil.

response 23 of 43: Mark Unseen   Apr 3 16:24 UTC 1995

As cavelings and devotees of the rodent, we have little need for
transportation. Time and space have no meaning for us.
