Friend is looking for two hard-to-find Shakespeare videos.

A friend of mine is looking for some some hard-to-find videos, and asked
me to ask on here. She would like to find a copy of:
- Sir Lawrence Oliver's _Othello_. This was shown on the Bravo channel
some months ago, but is not available on video. Maybe someone taped it?
- Richard Burton's _Hamlet_. Has it ever been released on video or shown
on T.V.? Needed by an English teacher.
Thanks!

Are you sure the first is not available on video. Seems to me I've
noticed it in video rental stores. Dunno about the _Hamlet_.

I don't know myself. Apparently she couldn't find it.

I know the Alma College library has Welles' _Othello_ on videotape...
It might be possible to get the video through Interlibrary Loan...otherwise,
if you can't find a more convenient copy of it, I'd be glad to check it out
and copy it, if your friend doesn't mind violating a few of those nasty copy-
right laws. I'll check on the Burton _Hamlet_.

I believe it's Lawrence Olivier's version of _Othello_ that's wanted,
not the Orson Welles version.
(Can't resist adding that I think Orson Welles' film version of _Othello_
is a stunning classic, one of the best adaptations of Shakespeare to
the screen. Haven't seen the Olivier version.)

According to Lenny Maltin, It's not on video, or disk. Good Luck finding
it.

It should be on 16mm film, if schools still use that media...
