Mounting a Production? Ask your questions here. Mark Unseen   Jun 23 15:55 UTC 1999

Are you involved in the performing arts?
Do you have questions about the production process?

I have been involved in professional production and presentation of
popular, classical and jazz music, modern dance and theatre for awhile
now, and I thought I might be able to share some of what I've learned
with other interested folks.

There's still a lot I don't know, but try me out and let's see!

I have worked as:
union stagehand (IATSE 395 & 38),
Artist Services Coordinator and Production Manager (University Musical
Society),
Technical Director (Performance Network of Ann Arbor, Ann Arbor and
Chelsea Schools)

In addition, I have done some set design, sound engineering, lighting
design and consulting on theatrical rigging.

(This item may seem arrogant, but I'm just curious to see both what kind
of interest there is, and what I can share to further it.)

I'll throw in applicable advice, too. I used to work as a pro sound tech,
and I do electronic repairs on audio things.

I know I'll come up with something.. but dunno right now. I suppose
I'll be looking to moonlight in minor gigs for pocket change once I get
settled as a music teacher.
