Commodore and Amiga users - a new opportunity in Washtenaw County?
|
Oct 24 22:46 UTC 1995 |
In the last few days Max Cottrell and I have been talking about
coordinating his Ypsilanti Community Information BBS with
Huron Valley Community Network. Max, as it turns out, is
a a Commodore/Amiga afficionado. He is intereested in contacting
others with similar interests. HVCN is interested in promoting
access to the widest possible audience. Max is talking about
establishing a centralized bank of information relevant to
Commodore/Amiga computers. HVCN could help, probably. Does this
make sense? Where could it lead? I understand there are a lot
of users out there.

Perhaps we need to advertise a little more. I'll see what I can do.
Keep in touch. I know nothing about Commadore or Amiga, but I understad
the Amiga was/is a pretty nice machine. I would not mind trying one
out sometime. The idea of using some inexpensive discarded machines, which
Max says are available, for access makes a lot of sense. And real users
need an active exchange of information. Max has posted this concept
on the Usenet newsgroups, and is getting both enthusiastic, and turf-gurarding
responses. I also understand the Amiga is one of the most advanced graphics
capable systems to ever appear as a personal computer. Please forgive
my ignorance. I am willing and eager to learn.
