 For the record, re: #0:  I have visited Newfoundland, and it's a
 fascinating place.  It's not a place I'd care to live -- the landscape
 (of the parts I visited, anyway) is BLEAK -- but a lot of it is very
 beautiful.  And it does, indeed, have good local music of which the
 Newfoundlanders appear to be quite proud (or so it would seem from
 judging by their radio broadcasts and by the crowd gathered around
 the band that played all night on the ferry to Port aux Basques.)
