Isn't he teh guy that sang "Simply Irresistable" and whose music videos
featured those talkk, busy women with pan expressions wiggling their hips in
formation?

Yes. The video in question was for "Addicted To Love".

No, if it's the same guy, the video was for Simply Irresitable. All I remember
were tall women, in black dresses and big red mouths.

resp:6 :: I don't know for sure that Robert Palmer produced Junior
Kimbrough, but it's certainly possible. I picked up his first widely-
distributed LP, "Sneaking Sally Through The Alley," presumably based
on favorable reviews, and I recall it had a strong element of blues.
His second album was titled after its cover of the reggae song
"Pressure Drop," IIRC.

According to Google, the Robert Palmer who worked with Junior Kimbrough
is best known as a music critic and journalist, which means he's not
the Robert Palmer who just died.

Robert Palmer wanted to do music for music, not for the
rock and roll scence. As such, he admonished other musicans
who do not have their full wits about them when performing on
stage (be sober and sane).

Did sound for the RFD Boys at the Ark tonight, and they did "Simply
Irresistable" in tribute.

RE#7
"That guy was an 80's iconoclast. A real sign of the times (and not a good
one), dressed like a yuppie surrounded by models. I wonder if he snorted
 coke on the company jet."

Before the 80's he was involved in one of the best fusion jazz bands ever
      EMERSON,LAKE and PALMER.
In his day he was techno elite.

One thought, that I'm almost certain doesn't apply in your situation. If
I just double click on a downloaded audio file's icon, nothing happens.
To get it to play using the RealOne Player I need to drag and drop the
music file to the RealOne icon or over the open program.

I use OS X with Safari or IE.

The Business Manager's name where I work is Robert Palmer. I tease him
about getting pale, red-lipped secretaris.

Sorry to hear about the famous one. I really enjoyed his tunes.

Once, my friend Steve was having a musical down at the Capitol, and the lead
singer got sick (like who wouldn't, staring in that play?) and so he hired
some hired whores to do the part. They did better than the actor, IHOP.
