Our son is 27 and has never had a car. He's never wanted one. He figured out from watching other people that cars require a lot of care and feeding and he'd rather spend his (few) dollars on other things. I expect when he gets his doctorate and a real job that this will change. Maybe. But my point is not everyone even wants a car. And life is still good. You can be an independent adult without one. | ||
