welcome back mistress, we missed your presence

we are happy that your tragedy has passed and your computer is working

we can do word wrap now, and we can even backspace over newlines,
(if the correct incantations are invoked)
so we are pleased with ourselves, but our beloved accordianists have
all gone up the river.

Except thanne, I think, who has a carpal tunnel thingy, I think. <ow>

our disk was naughty and ate brenner's www site.

That should catch you up on the news and gossip.

Hah. I'll believe it when I see it.

I do have the owie carpal tunnel thingie and also the owie tendonitis
thingie, but I'm also guilty of riverage.

You really have my sympathy. I type on these computer thingies day and night.
Sometimes for pay and sometimes for fun. The idea of limiting that is, well,
unthinkable. Also I don't like owies.

humdog does not like to hear that thanne is in pain.
she intends to draft an edict exiling the Owies.

thanne
response 11 of 36: Mark Unseen   Aug 11 06:02 UTC 1995

Yes, please do. I also type day and night for fun and profit, and this
is seriously cramping mah style. My new policy is, in addition to
PT and various stretches and exercises, a surrogate typist at work
(a very nice high school student) for part of the day, and then
at night typing with two fingers, pencil or even my big toes (which]
is surprisingly entertaining, but hard on the leg muscles) --anything to
avoid touch-typing. Which I do VERY FAST and which I miss sorely.

Most sorely. This is my longest posting in weeks! I should stop.

Goodness thanne, this is the ascii analog of that situation where
one tells someone with laryngitis to stop talking so much.

Once humdog's edict goes into effect, you'll start to feel much better.
Until you do, please keep it to a couple of lines at a time.

Never heard of an omnivore quite so picky about his dining companions.

raven
response 18 of 36: Mark Unseen   Jan 24 16:00 UTC 1997

The rodent never reappeared. However we have birds galore, popcorn, and
pattycakes for your dining pleasure. And don't forget the discordian battle
twinkies.

Battle twinkies? Are they injured?

response 24 of 36: Mark Unseen   Mar 22 21:43 UTC 1997

Mysteries of the ages! Do they sprout before your verry eyes! It's a Rho
with a dent in it, to think that it was almost missed.
Valelaaalealllaeal
By the way, battle twinkies are not injured. They are defended by the
Owie edict of old. WE must hail our predesessors, and ask the mighty raven
to come back and tell us tales from the old guard! Waven! Where are the
birds of hairy rice?
